IPAD 1 :
The iPad was announced in 2012 on January 27 by the founder of the Apple Company Steve Jobs at a press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Due to the novelty of this device, people were extremely impressed and the sales proved this later on. A record braking 300,000 iPad’s were sold on the very first day. All in all, Apple sold more than 15 million first-generation iPad’s prior to the launch of the iPad 2. In March 2011 it was discontinued.
The first generation iPad featured WIFI and had 9.7 inch multi-touch display(250 mm). This display had LED backlighting and scratch resistant coating and the resolution was set at 1024 x 768 pixels with 132ppi

IPAD 2 :
The iPad 2 is the second generation iPad, a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It serves primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, news, movies, music, games, presentations and web content. The iPad 2 has a lithium-ion polymer battery that lasts up to 10 hours, a dual core Apple A5 processor and was the first iPad to feature VGA front-facing and 720p rear-facing cameras designed for FaceTime video calling. iPad 2 was presented by Steve Jobs on 2nd of March 2011.

IPAD 3 :
Apple's third generation, 2012 iPad, called simple the New iPad was announced on March 7, 2012. It looks virtually identical to the 2011 iPad 2, but its technology is far more advanced. It has a 2048x1536 double density Retina display, a faster Apple A5X chipset with dual-core CPU and quad-core GPU. Likewise, 4G LTE radios are available in the U.S for AT&T and Verizon, and in Canada for Rogers, Bell, and Telus. Battery life remains an astounding 10hrs on Wi-Fi and an equally amazing 9hrs on LTE. The front camera remains a disappointing VGA quality, but the rear camera has bee significantly upgraded to 5 megapixels. While there was no Siri, Apple's artificially intelligent, voice controlled assistant, the new iPad did get Dictation for voice-to-text.
